Terms of Service

1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cortex AI Academy website, platform and digital courses (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Yeiran Camilo Múnera Rodríguez, trading as Cortex AI Academy ("Cortex AI Academy", "we", "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a course or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. About Cortex AI Academy

Cortex AI Academy is an online education platform that sells and delivers digital courses about artificial intelligence tools and their practical use in work and business. Courses may include video lessons, downloadable PDF materials, curated external links and, for some products, mentorship or support access.

3. Eligibility and account responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to purchase a course. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, resold or transferred.

4. Course purchases and digital access

All courses are digital educational products. Purchasing a course grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the content included in the specific product description you purchased. Different access tiers may include different content (for example, downloadable materials only, video lessons, or mentorship). Access is granted to the account used at checkout after payment has been confirmed by our payment provider.

Unless a product description states a fixed access period, access is provided for as long as the course remains available on the platform.

5. Pricing and payments

Prices are shown on the relevant course or product page and are stated in the currency displayed at checkout. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location. We may change prices or run promotions at any time; changes do not affect purchases already completed.

6. User accounts

Access to purchased content requires an account. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us; deleting your account ends your access to purchased content.

7. Intellectual property and course content

All course content, including videos, PDFs, prompt libraries, text, graphics and the platform itself, is owned by Cortex AI Academy or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the content for your own personal or internal professional learning only.

8. Prohibited use

• Sharing, reselling, sublicensing or publishing course content.
• Downloading, recording or redistributing videos or materials beyond the download options we provide.
• Sharing account credentials or bypassing access controls.
• Reverse engineering, scraping, or attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
• Using the Service for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes.

9. Educational content disclaimer

Our courses are educational and informational. They do not constitute legal, financial, recruitment, employment or professional advice, and we do not guarantee any specific result, income, job outcome or business outcome. Artificial intelligence tools referenced in our courses are operated by independent third parties and may change or become unavailable without notice.

10. Availability of the platform

We aim to keep the Service available and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control, and course content may be updated, improved or retired over time.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to content if you breach these Terms, in particular if you share, copy or redistribute course content, or if we detect fraudulent or abusive payment activity. Where reasonably possible we will notify you first.

12. Refunds and cancellations

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Where a refund is issued, access to the related course or material is removed.

13. Third-party services and payment processing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles all customer service enquiries related to payments, invoices and refunds. Paddle's terms apply to the payment transaction in addition to these Terms. We also use third-party providers to host the platform, store course files and manage authentication.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cortex AI Academy is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business opportunities arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date and applies from the date of publication.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Colombia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
